Confess, I never get tired of this kind of music - fluid streams of reverberated guitar sound and gentle female voice. I love shoegazing, but more I like ambient and this record spills its bottomless rivers of sound somewhere between these shores. The wonderful feeling given by this music can be compared to the cool air that rushes into the stuffy room from the open window. And this air brings not the urban dust, but the fragrance of wildflowers...

Probably, the first music by this recipe was created by Windy & Carl, a long-standing Kranky residents. Well, Crystal Dorval (it is White Poppy's real name) now waits for the release of her full-length vinyl record on Not Not Fun, and it's modern Kranky, no doubt. Truly soulful music exists beyond time and doesn't need inventions of something new, because most important in a people's life things are always same. Love, understanding, friendship, inner balance... All this is expressed by simple brushstrokes on the sonic palette, it's all easy to see and experience in each of the presented songs on the tape. Muffled colors, blurred by the sunlight space of lazily tossing and turning thoughts, inexplicable lightness and relaxation - all this provides an excellent reason to dream or to take the embodiment of your creative ideas. This music inspires, encourages to the activities, and this, in my opinion, the most important thing.

Many people think that they need something to relieve stress: alcohol, drugs, sex, extreme sports... But such music reminds that human once knew how to heal itself, and cure for all diseases is inside of us. This is ability to create, to actualize forms and images - it liberates from any fears. This is such state, when the creativity is splashing as drops of sweet syrup imagination, glaring in the sun of free soul and song is born by itself like light waves of the wind in a field full of flowers and butterflies. Drifters Gold - excellent example of self-healing experience and  my undoubted favorite of this summer.
